As with every new administration, the first family is given an allowance to redecorate the White House. On January 13th, Michael Smith was commissioned to make the White House the Obama Home.
I love his work; it beautiful yet relaxed. I can't wait to see what the finished result is. With President Obama's new transparency policy, I am sure we will all get a great look!
Kudos to President Obama for giving the executive order to make it chic, but make it cheap. According to Fox News Online, Smith will be "utilizing affordable brands" to make the presidential mansion a home for the new first family" like Target and Ikea. THAT'S WHERE I SHOP!!! So far, I like this administration - and I shamelessly admit a lot of my opinion is based on their "every day" person style.
