Last Tuesday one of my co-workers told me he had a early wedding gift for me...............which turned out to be not so much a "wedding present" and more of a "just because gift."
 | First you have to make several (and by several, I mean a massive amount) of these pom poms. |
 | 1. Stack four sheets of tissue. Cut a 10-by-5-inch rectangle, going through all layers. Make 3/8-inch-wide accordion folds. |
 | 2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, slip over center of tissue, and twist to secure. Trim ends of tissue. |
 | 3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time. |
 | 4. Bend wire into a loop to fit around napkin, and twist end around loop to secure. |
 | For the ribbon, cut 10" of wire then twist around the ribbon. Use a skewer to poke a hole on the Styrofoam ball before placing the wire with hot glue. |
 | Leave an extra 1/2" of wire from the tissue flowers to attach the flowers onto the ball, with the help of hot glue. |
 | For each pomander you will probably use about 40 flowers (5"x10" strips of tissue paper). |

Lime Sherbet Wedding Punch:
1 gallon lime sherbet
4 bottles very cold ginger ale
1 bottle club soda
1 can very cold pineapple juice

I bought our guest book at The Mart this past July.
I recently decided to not hire a florist and with the help of my MOH and her momma do my own flowers! This weekend I spent entirely too much time and money at Joann's in the floral department looking for the just the right vase, floral supplies and inspiration.
I really thought this was going to be easy!
Monday night I spent several hours scoring the internet for instructions and how-tos. I found a couple and after reading them over several times I felt confident to try my hand at this floral architecture!
The end result - failure...........my flowers look like a drunk person did them!

Jason and I originally were looking to have a cocktail style reception, however we kept coming back to wanting place cards for our guest. There are so many cute options out there.
A couple of decor piece I am seriously considering. I think these would be perfect for our fall wedding.
Our color scheme is espresso, peach and ivory. My bride's maid are wearing espresso and the guys will wear a peach tie. I think I already know the answer to this question - but - what color should my shoes be?
